This happened months after we moved from the UK to Dharmapuri.
We were getting used to the rigors of rustic life after experiencing the suave, sophisticated life style that England offered. I know it will take a while to get into the groove.
"Kavin, where is your goggle, did you pack the towel"
"Here it is Appa"
"Is Krithik ready"
"He needs a nappy change"
"Ok"
"Not that way Appa, other way around"
"Never mind Kavin, no one notices his nappy"
"Sari Appa"
"You grab your swimming gear, I will grab Krithik, where is Thaatha"
"He is in the car"

We rushed for the 7am swimming class, jumped into the car, connected my phone to the car's BT, selected 80's Ilayaraja playlist from Spotify and just when the mellifluous music started to fill the car.
"Appa, you always play these songs. I want Katy Perry's Roar"
"Heey, Ilayaraja kaeluda, Katy Perry-ee thaan vaenumma"
His reply was calm & composed.
"No Appa, I don't want Katy Perry, I want Katy Perry's Roar"
I was allowed to drive only after KP Roared.
Little did he know that he is going to fall in love with Ilayaraja years down the line.
Meanwhile, my younger one.
"I want Peppa Pig Madame Gazelle song, Appa"
